Salam,

There are a few factors that determine the speed of your WiMAX connection, check the signal strength and the signal to noise ratio. The only thing you could do is realign your CPE to get a better signal. Now that my area has proper ADSL coverage I switched and never looking back to WiMAX, I suggest you do the same.

Hello,

Sadly I don't know of any resellers because the ISP provided the CPE. I'm terribly sorry.

To be expected, but I still haven't personally seen that myself so far.

Where do you live? Which area?

I hope they do read your article, and also see my comments. Since I have used the HSPA+ with Router at Home, I find it very unreliable. At best I got 4.4 Mb, at night when I need to use it it is even below .28bB/S, seems crazy to go that low for any reason.

Again, 5.5Mbps for a 7Mbps connection is still very acceptable. With Orange now if you're on their Fiber network, you'll get 85-86% of the advertised speed. Which is still good for shared bandwidth.

Now Orange has unmetered downloads from midnight till noon, and they're cheaper :). I don't like them to be honest, but I'd rather pay less.

As a friend of mine once said, with Orange, the price is always plus Tax and Guilt :D

<a href="#comment-153" rel="nofollow">@Mohammad Al-Shami </a>
Actually about AT&T here, the reason why i'm getting about 5.5 Mbps, because they care about their cutomers .. so, even though the contract and the ads says 6Mbps, but checking my router, i am getting in fact about 7 Mbps .. so they give you a bit more than what you signed for to get a really good service.
I mean in this case, since i am receiving 7 Mbps from them, if they advertise that it is 7 Mbps .. and i was getting 5.5 i wouldn't be that happy. but the move they are doing is really good.
When i was in Jordan i was Orange customer for about 4 years .. i had the 2Mbps connection from them, i liked it not because of the 2Mbps (since i was getting about 1.6Mbps), but i liked it because after finishing my limit .. my connection goes down to 512 Kbps Unlimited .. and i was getting a pure 512 .. i mean the download speed was ~60 KB/s
but in the last year, they changed the policy, and my 2M connection was going down to 128Kbps after the limit .. and since they don't have any free download time like the other companies.. i had to change, and TE Data was a Excellent choice :)
