Google Chrome on Ubuntu
I came across this guide about installing Google Chrome under Ubuntu. It is somewhat slow, slower than Windows and much slower than Firefox but it still works, well, kinda. You have a few problems with fonts, as well as sites that don’t work properly with Chrome yet. I’m sticking with Firefox for the time being, but at least I have an option for those sites that aren’t compatible with it.
I wrote this post from Chrome, so yeah, it does work

You should try using CrossOver Chromium. I used it to run Chrome on my Mac, It’s a Mac and Linux port of the browser.
Nothing special about the delay, by chance Windows team kicked off development before the other teams!
Thanks for the info man. CrossOver Chromium is an emulated version of Chromium to showcase what wine can do, still the same idea I guess. I tried CrossOver Office before and it does provide better support for some applications. So I don’t think I’ll be going with CrossOver Chromium for now.
Just waiting for Chrome to by my backup browser, at least that’s how I see things now.
